A striking Breastplate handcrafted from the most vibrant piece of Kawakawa Greenstone. The large notches either side of the carving are an added point of interest.
A breast plate signified strength and protection in battle. Today they still hold this symbolism but more as a representative scale.
Genuine West Coast Greenstone – Kawakawa. A dark rich green with varying intermediate shades, named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.
