A fabulous knife all handmade with the handle handcrafted from a wonderful piece of Kawakawa Pounamu and Rimu, with brass rivets and comes in a handmade leather sheath.
Kawakawa- is the most common variety of Pounamu. it comes in many shades - from strong, rich green to dark green - and often has small dark flecks, which add to its character. Named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.
Kauri- Agathis Australis, commonly known by its Māori name Kauri, is a coniferous tree in the family Araucariaceae, found north of 38°S in the northern regions of New Zealand's North Island and has a beautiful golden appearance.
