Roimata/Teardrop - Named for their teardrop shape, meaning tears of sadness or grief, and are widely regarded as touchstones in healing and meditation. It is often called the comfort stone and given to show sympathy, shared emotion and that they, the receiver, is not alone in their grief. The drop pendants are also believed to represent a connection to the whenua (the land) Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Moss agate is a semi-precious gemstone formed from silicon dioxide. It is a form of chalcedony and can be clear or milky white, with green dendritic inclusions that resemble moss. The colours are formed due to trace amounts of metal present as an impurity, such as chrome or iron. The metals can make different colours depending on their valence (oxidation state). Despite its name, moss agate does not contain organic matter and is usually formed from weathered volcanic rocks.
Moss Agate, also known as Dendritic Agate, is a semi-opaque stone with swirls of white and green that look like moss. All Agates are respected as healing and protective stones. It is especially attractive to nature spirits and can assist you with making a deeper connection to the Earth.
